We are a fee-based publisher (aka 'micropublisher', 'vanity press'…) - this means that we do not have sufficient funding or backing to be able to go out-of-pocket for printing runs, advances, and all the things the big publishing houses are able to do 'up-front' (they'll still charge you for it in the end, though!). It has always been very difficult to get a conventional publishing deal - but because of the new economy, it's getting harder than ever; micropublishers are greatly increasing in popularity!

We can still offer you most of the services that these

full-sized publishing houses can! We will typically start you out using P.O.D. (Printing On Demand) - this highly economical model allows books to be printed one at a time so that single, small orders from any bookseller can be fulfilled at any time without the need for keeping thousands of copies in inventory. The negative trade-off is that the cost per book is more than with offset printing. Once your sales volume goes up into the thousands, then offset printing becomes a viable option, and profits increase!
